Meet us on the QuikTrip Great Lawn at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 to work out with an Olympian! Jeff Galloway is coming to Tulsa to help us kick-off our Fresh Fitness Series presented by Subway with his Tulsa Galloway Training Program, Run Walk Run. Classes in Run Walk Run will also take place every Monday evening beginning in May.
At this one-time and one-of-a-kind, kick-off event, hear Galloway tell his story, answer questions, then take part in demonstrations and run drills around the Park. Galloway will also be signing books and taking pictures with his fans.
Our goal is to help people of all ages and abilities, both runners and walkers, train for distances from 5K (3.1 miles), 10K (6.2 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles), marathon (26.2 miles), or year-round using Jeff Galloway’s Run-Walk-Run method: run for a short segment, take a walk break, then repeat.
This program is tailored to each person’s current fitness level and distance goal based on your Magic Mile (one-mile time trial). You’ll run with people your own pace no matter what distance you’re training for. A Pace Group Leader keeps the speed slow enough for all members and enforces walk breaks from the beginning to the end.
