Gathering Place is excited to host the first STEMtember Family Night in partnership with Cimarex powered by Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance with Cox Media Group, OERB, and ONEOK.

This STEM family event is an evening of hands-on science, math and engineering activities for the whole family to complete together. The event includes a range of activities provided by local partner organizations, covering different STEM topics and connections to exciting STEM careers.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM is important because it pervades every part of our lives. By exposing students to STEM and giving them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, they will develop a passion for it and hopefully pursue a highly rewarding job in a STEM field.

Performers: Jerry McCoy, Professor of Applied Science at the University of Tulsa; Forrest Mayer, and Laura Mock
