Gathering Place will celebrate the vibrancy of the Tulsa community at Global Gatherings, a 13-week program highlighting various cultures and regions of the world. Every Friday in May, June, and July from 10 a.m. to noon in ONEOK Boathouse, families will be immersed in a new region of the world and learn about different cultures through hands-on activities, art, storytelling, dance, music, and more. Global Gatherings will be facilitated by members of the Tulsa community who are eager to share their culture with others.

Join us on Friday, May 12 to celebrate the culture of Africa! Enjoy live drum performances by the Oklahoma Ugandan Association, songs by West African singer JayCeePee, storytelling by Grace Owa and Vinson Smalls, and an African Fashion Show by Central Middle School. Plus, participate in hands-on activities that include creating African jewelry, designing African mudcloths out of paper, and learning about Nigerian culture through clothing and artifacts displayed by the United Nigeria Association of Tulsa!
