Park Rules

Fun For Everyone

For the safety of everyone, visitors must fully comply with all posted Gathering Place rules. In addition to our general Park rules below, select Park features have additional rules that must be followed to ensure that the Park is enjoyable and safe for all. 

General Park Rules

  • No glass bottles

  • No amplified sound devices; please use headphones to enjoy your music

  • No pets other than service animals are allowed in play areas unless otherwise authorized; Pets are allowed, leashed, on the Midland Valley and Riverside trails and during designated days as published. 

  • No smoking permitted (traditional or e-cigarettes)

  • No transport devices larger than a child’s wagon (other than wheelchairs) 

  • Skates, skateboards, scooters, roller blades, bicycles and powered ride vehicles (except for ECVs used by mobility-impaired guests) are allowed only in designated areas

  • Rock and structure climbing is prohibited unless designated; please ask a Gathering Place staff member if you have any questions

  • The open or concealed carry of guns, knives or other weapons is strictly prohibited

  • No drones or other radio-controlled equipment are to be operated at Gathering Place

  • The Chapman Adventure Playground closes at dusk every day 

External Event Policy

All external events, including birthday parties, are held on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to Picnic Grove, located south of the Chapman Adventure Playground. Outside tables and tents are not allowed in Picnic Grove at any time. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed in this area, but no glass is allowed at any time. Any other event not programmed and sponsored by Gathering Place staff is not permitted in any other area of the park unless prior written permission is granted by Park management. External events or parties are not permitted in the Williams Lodge or ONEOK Boathouse.  External signage, decoration and/or furniture is not permitted in the ONEOK Boathouse or Williams Lodge at any time. Guests that do not comply with these park rules will be asked to leave the area and host their gathering in Picnic Grove.

All external events outside of Picnic Grove must have full approvable by Gathering Place management. Any event without written expressed permission cannot market an event at Gathering Place. All marketing of an approved event must be coordinated through the Gathering Place marketing team. All events must be sent to [email protected] at least one month prior to the activity for approval.
